Title: Unable to flash from pdaXrom
Post by: trepine on September 29, 2004, 11:11:21 pm
Hello,

I have been running on the PDA X Rom for some time, I trie to flash 3.5.1, but when it reboots it comes to a logon prompt.  I type root enter, which brings me to a shell.  Type QPE, which launches what looks to be the GUI, then it hangs.  The touch screen does not show up at all.  It is obvious that there are some remnants of the old PDA X Rom because when booting it shows the blue PDA X ROM banner accross the top 1/3 of the screen.  Am I doing something wrong.  Do I need to some how (and how) repartition something, reflash something, etc.  Also, if I do please let me know how.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I meant to say the screen does not respond to touch at all, all I get is the screen with the little opie penguin that says touch anywhere to continue.  But I cannot get past that screen.

I think you are meaning OZ 3.5.1 not pdaxrom... would you like me to edit the topic title?

If you still get the pdaXrom splash screen at the start, that means the kernel didn't flash correctly.

what did it say when you installed it?
