Title: Lost EA-BL08K tiny clip
Post by: Xumbi on October 03, 2004, 10:11:38 am
Somehow I just knew this was going to happen.  When trying to remove the cover for my EA-BL08K battery, I lost the tiny clip (http://conics.net/shp/pda/zaurus-sl-c700/images/EA-BL08K.jpg) that secures the battery cover to the Z.  The cover seems secure enough without it, but I'd really like to replace the clip.

Would anyone possibly have a spare?  Obviously I would pay for it.

Also, how do you remove this cover the right way??  I'm so scared that I'll break it, I don't want to try.  However, I'm going to have to so I can flash it in the future.

Well, I guess nobody had any ideas, but that's ok, I found the answers myself

The nice folks over at conics (http://www.conics.net) said that they have the clips in stock, and it only cost me $8.21 US including shipping to have them send me one.

As far as my fear of breaking the back cover, all I had to do was watch this video (http://pda.conics.net/large-bat-video/) to see how to remove it (just play it backwards ).  Basically, just make sure you move the battery switch into the "off" position (that was where I was going wrong).

The clip arrived today, shipping only took a week from Japan.  Just wanted to give conics a positive review.  I'll definitely be ordering from them in the future.
