Title: 3 in 1 stylus for Cxx0
Post by: Anonymous on December 19, 2003, 12:54:13 am
Hi everyone, finally I\'m awaiting my 860 to come!  Did anyone try the 3 in 1 stylus from Brando, or elsewhere?  I find myself in need of a pen sometimes even if I have a PDA with me.  Thanks!

The PDAir version: http://shop.brando.com.hk/pdairzaurusslc700stylus.php (http://shop.brando.com.hk/pdairzaurusslc700stylus.php)

Yep I have one of those!  Pretty good compared to the one that came with it.

The PDAir one is the same shape as the standard one and so fits in perfect but has more weight to it makig it feel better in use (imho).

A quick point, the pen is ok for occasional/emergency use, but don\'t expect it to become your writing instrument of choice. But then you will have an 860 soon, so you will only need the pen very occasionally right ?

They fit fine and I liked the weight, but don\'t drop them! The stylus tip breaks off from the metal shaft if dropped. This has happened to me twice.

zuber - do you ship to the US?  I tried ordering from the brando site, but when checking out, the site kept timing out.

edit: nevermind... I just saw a note at the top of the site saying that you ship to UK and EU.

Thanks to all your comment.  I\'m happily playing around with my C860.  Have no time to think of the 3-in-1 thing right now.  Probably will consider it a little later.

By the way, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Best,
wys

Damn, if only I had read this earlier then I wouldn\'t have accidentially dropped mine on the brick floor last friday...

You get really used to the extra weight - I can\'t believe how light the plastic original stylus feels...

Conics has a three in one stylus on sale for 16,50 USD, which adds to the a.m. functionality that it has a telescope function, i.e. lies a bit better in hand. Does anyone have experience with this one?

I\'m about to order one...

You might want to check this out:
http://shop.brando.com.hk/pdairtungstentstylus.php (http://shop.brando.com.hk/pdairtungstentstylus.php)

It\'s a replacement 3-in-1 for the Tungsten T stylus (spring-loaded retractable stylus), which fits perfectly in all Z PDAs. A review can be read at http://www.foxpop.co.uk/Palm/tt_05.htm (http://www.foxpop.co.uk/Palm/tt_05.htm)

I wonder why Pilot (Pentopia) doesnt sell the stylus that Conics has in North America...?! Their website makes no mention of it... must be Asia only.

I\'ve been using a regular Tungsten T stylus in my 5500 & C760 for more than a year and I love it.

Tried the 3-in-1 for the Tungsten.

I felt it stuck out a enough to keep getting triggered accidently. Depends on how you carry I guess.

Tried cutting the end off with a hot nige, bits better, but now it is really hard to get the stylus out
