Ok, I am just about sold on the Zaurus, although still not sure if the 5600 is worth the extra money. Here is my question. Will the CF GPS and USB host adaptors work with the Zaurus'. I see that wireless, bluetooth and ethernet work ok, so I assume that if not now, as soon as someone writes drivers, the GPS and the USB host Cf cards work as well. I would like the USB not only for full size keyboard and mouse usage, but to connect with my Archos AV player/recorder. That would be an awesome portable combo. I do think that the main problem with the GPS side would be the map software. I do not know of any map packages written for linux. Am I correct in my thinking?

Hi Mpers3,
If you search on this forum for info on both the cf gps and usb host adaptors you'll see that there have been plenty of discussions about both. Not so sure about the usb host stuff, but I do have a cf gps working quite happily on a 5500. Not all work, some that do work need a bit of effort to get them to work, and some will work right out of the box. For software, check ZSI (link from zug home page) and search for gps- there are at least two packages that will work on the zaurus, and there's a thriving community out to help you get going.
