Title: n00b FTPd problems on v3.1 Sharp ROM

I have been fighting to get an ftp server set up on Sl-5500 with v3.10 Sharp ROM. I have inslalled troll-ftpd_1.28-cg2_arm.ipk and can connect via TCP/IP USB. However, when I try to do anything, apart from "help" I get:
502-PORT/EPRT is disabled for security reasons.
502 Please use PASV/EPSV instead ("passive on")
425 No data connection: Illegal seek

This is from Windows command line. FTP Voyager gets nowhere (set to PASV mode or not)

I set a passwd as su, which is accepted during logon.

I did manage to connect & get a directory listing briefly on the Z itself using Opie FTP, but it locked and needed a re-boot.

Any ideas, please? TIA.

I could not find out why this would not work, so I tried pure-ftpd_1.0.16-1_arm.ipk. The ipk file would not inslall, so I did it manually and edited the inetd.conf. Now I have ftp
