I saw a bunch of cool screenshots of picoGUI running on the Z at the OZ website, and yet no matter how much I searh google, I can't find any IPKs or info on how to install it, the only thing I found was a broken link to a qz from 2 years ago at the picoGUI homepage. What the heck?

From a quick google it looks like the project is all but dead.
I probably have the relevant files lying around somewhere. I'll have a look and post them somewhere. Send me an email to remind me if I've not done so by next week.

I have a binary file called pico among my Zaurus downloads. I have no idea what it does and don't recall ever using it but you are welcome to download it here (http://www.ma.utexas.edu/users/voloch/Exe/pico)

Damn, it's probably that silly editor that comes with pine. Never mind me. F.

It looks like I must have deleted the files in my spring clear out.
Sorry. Perhaps someone else has them (actually you'd be better off recompiling as they were based on, what is now, a rather old ROM).

Rats. I don't have the resources to compile it, as my zaurus is my only computer right now. `i just don't get why the `OZ website has updated screenshots of it if they don't even offer a build.

Those actually look more recent than the version I tried out.
You might trawl the openzaurus-users and openzaurus-devel mailing lists and if you can't find anything there post and ask about the status (get to the lists from the contacts page).
