Title: fdisk shows extra empty partition
Post by: rgrep on October 16, 2004, 02:06:38 am
As iamasmith describes in this thread (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6418), there is a bug which causes fdisk to display an extra empty partition.  I have built a new package based on iamasmith's instructions in this post (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6520&view=findpost&p=40097).  Basically all I did was add the -mstructure-size-boundary=8 flag to gcc.

You can download the new fdisk ipk from my unstable feed (http://beer.geek.nz/software/zaurus/feed/unstable/).

I forgot to mention that my fdisk ipk also includes cfdisk, a curses based partition manipulation tool.  It's just a friendly version of fdisk, which should help newbies partition their cards more easily.

Man, you're giving me some real incentive to get this build environment started and start compiling some apps. ;-)

Thanks for the releases...
