Title: gnumeric blues
Post by: kutscher on October 19, 2004, 10:55:37 am
Hi Folks,

Just installed RC5 a couple of days ago and I'm very please with it (kudos to pdaxrom!)
Now, I'm trying to run gnumeric and I repeatedly get an Error "Application Gnumeric" has crashed due to a fatal error (segmentation fault).
Any clues?

Also, is there any other spreadsheet available for RC5?

Tks!!!
_CK

I get the same issue... kinda weird that it launches from the terminal every time.... I meant to post about this before my vacation... but I guess I didn't have the time... anyway.. here's a screenshot of the error (not that it really matters )

btw - kutscher, did you already submit a bug report at pdaxrom.org?

a-propos:
how much cells of data can the Gnumeric conviniently handle?

i mean, for the hancomsheet (sharp rom, c860), above 2500 cells it got heavy and too slow to open/edit (i had a 150 row by 15 col worksheet).

i'm also looking for a lightweight, basic spreadsheet for Z.
thanks

I just posted it.
BTW does anybody know if OpenOffice would be runnable in X11?
