3) XServer now have included Xkb extension module
4) Added experemental support for mouse buttons: tap and hold (]0.6 sec) for right button.

1). Refresh my memory, what does this do again?
2). Sounds good
3). Sounds great
4). I think the tap and hold idea is bad, what if a person is moving a window around to a precise location? If they hold it for more than 0.6 seconds (which is easy to do) then they\'ll get a menu popup instead.

this is great Sash (and team) thanks!

all the added features work great so far... and I actually like the tap-hold, right-click feature... when you drag a folder/icon, you can hold it as long as you want... it doesn\'t activate the right-click thingy... cool!

I\'ve noticed some funkyness with the keyboard mappings though...

1.  when in terminal, I use tab completion a lot, and now when you click tab once, it will do the tab completion AND set Caps lock, you have to hit tab once again to reset Caps lock.  What happened to just using the FN + Tab key for caps lock?  I don\'t like this new method

2.  the right Shift key (near the Enter key) doesn\'t shift anymore... this is the same with the new OZ 3.3.5... but I was hoping that the Cacko ROMs wouldn\'t follow suit... I use the right shift key a lot!

I know it\'s beta, just sharing my observations incase they\'re bugs

Thanks Cacko team!

I\'ll look into the tab problem. The reason the right shift key doesn\'t work though is from when we were testing this new beta out before the release, we had the right shift key turn on mouse button emulation on the keyboard, and then the menu button was mapped as the middle button. I my self changed it to have the Mail button turn the emulation on and off and the two japanese keys by fn as the middle and right mouse button. But this was all before Sash implemented Tap+hold. So you can just edit /etc/X11/kb/corgi.xmodmap and change it back to shift

I also noticed that the FN + whatever keys (@ ;  : ) don\'t work in sylpheed.  I\'m trying to type in my email address in the account setup, but FN + - (to get @) doesn\'t work... I only get the dash.

Though those keys work fine in terminal... weird.

This is one of the reasons my script is taking so long, I\'m completely rewriting the xmodmap to include a better character set

I think having such fast rom releasing cycle it can be beautiful to create patches to upgrade rom. Maybe patches will be much less in size that full rom and so it can help to decrease traffic for mirrors and help us to quickly upgrade to the new beta rom.

for some of us with broadband, it\'s not so bad... what is bad is getting <6K/sec from the .biz site!
Once the files get to ZUG, I can suck them down at 1MB/sec... etc.

I only get 1000GB dowload from my colo site, but I\'m willing to give as much of that bandwidth to
the Z community as needed if it will help alleviate the load on the cacko.biz server, etc.
