I may not be the most objective source, since I've been using *NIX as my primary os for a long time, but I haven't had alot of problems with 3.5.1 yet. I did steer clear of opie-packagemanager. I did the following, found on this board I believe...
ipkg remove opie-packagemanager
ipkg install opie-aqpkg
Networking worked great after install, and hostap finally has monitoring extensions. YAY! It didn't lock up after multiple cf insert/removes like 3.2 had done to me. It looks nice, I like the theme. That won't last, of course, but it is a first. All in all, for a first flash of an OZ release, this has gone rather smooth.

Hear Hear.
3.5.1 is very good. Most of the issues were specific and local.

I agree... I've been running 3.5.1 on my SL5500 since it came out and haven't had much trouble at all. I use Ko/PI & Ka/PI all day long, do some web browsing with konqueror, and even use didiwiki to store some notes. Very nice.

I really like how OZ/OE is progressing. I can't wait to see what happens once the development/build process has a chance to "settle" a little bit. . .

I especially like the idea of the merging with OE, because if I understand it correctly, this now means that teams working on all linux PDA platforms are contributing code which is useful to us, not just the OZ team anymore.
-
Exactly. We have even more non-OZ people working on OE now than OZ people
(dreaming) Now if the pdaXrom folks would consider working on GPE (hence OE), since they have the same goals... (/dreaming)

Hear, hear to this.
