Title: Opie vs GPE
Post by: heathkit on October 26, 2004, 05:54:58 pm
Which environment is everyone using with 3.5.1?  Why do you prefer that to the other?

My two favorite apps are console apps, anyway (kismet and hnb), so it doesn't matter that much to me.  I'm looking for a good gps program, pdf viewer, and sketchbook.  Does one particular environment have better versions of these apps than another?

I've been having troubles getting any gps software to work under opie.  I was informed today that some of apps I'm trying to load have support under gpe, so I will be trying that out one of these days.  Personally, I'm trying to get roadmap and wellenreiter running.  No problems with wellereiter under opie, it works just fine.  However zroadmap and zgps do not seem to work correctly.  I'll try and follow up once I have some results under gpe.
