Title: Empower Linux PDA with cellphone add-on announced
Post by: doseas on October 27, 2004, 02:50:15 pm
For what it's worth, I just saw this announcement...
http://www.linuxdevices.com/cgi-bin/printe...id=NS2665482526 (http://www.linuxdevices.com/cgi-bin/printerfriendly.cgi?id=NS2665482526)

It mentions a QWERTY keyboard, but none is shown.  Also, appears to have only SD slot, no CF.  Proprietary slot for camera & cellphone add-ons.  TI OMAP5910 (ARM 925T + DSP) processor.  Appears to use proprietary embedded Linux.  The article indicates that they're targeting the Canadian market.

If I'm not mistaken, that company made (and still makes?) Palm rip-offs with embedded Linux; however, I'm fairly sure that user support for them is nil.
