Title: Reading Palm eBooks from www.ereader.com
Post by: greenbird on October 27, 2004, 09:22:17 pm
I've got a bunch of books from here (www.ereader.com) for my Treo. I've tried using zReader,  Sharp Doc & e-book Reader and  docReader but non work. I haven't gotten qpose working yet. Any other ways to read these books?

If they are not encrypted, you can use either justreader or opie reader (not sure of the exact package names though).  One of my major uses of the Z is reading books.

Where do you get the books you read? All the sources I've found require specific readers like Acrobat directly from Adobe.

If you  like science fiction, Baen Books sells in un-encrypted and open formats, including rich text, plain text, and others.  You should try their site.  They also give away quite a few books in the free library.  They also have a "webscription" deal that gets you several books a month at a very low cost.

Other than that, you can get them from news groups, and quite a few other web sites.  I like mainly scifi, so I'm addicted to the Baen site.
