Title: Nees NAND backup file for sl-5600
Post by: double_d on October 28, 2004, 03:10:55 am
I have "bricked" my Z while reflashing it. Now it won't even boot or anything.
Can any one please help me obtain a working copy of a full nand backup for the pxa-250 sl-5600.
Thanks

With OZ on it, or would you like your post moved?

I flashed it with OZ 3.5.1, but i could not get my pocketop working. Reflashed it back with sharp rom, but still get the openzaurus login prompt and it wont boot to gui
Neef help in removing this remaining piece of openzaurus

Read this sentence again. Do you find the error? If you get the openzaurus login prompt, then you didn't reflash it back to the Sharp ROM. Do the names initrd.bin, zImage and updater.sh match? I would stay away from NAND backups as they infere pretty deep with your system.

Thanks Mickey,

Will be carefull in the future with the NAND backups, but it worked for me fine.

I have obtained a clean NAND backup for sl-5600 PXA-250 from one of the ZUG users and was able to restore my Z .

Afterwards I finally figured out my problem. What happened was that I have somehow placed OZ zImage instead of the tkcRom's zImage (the one I am using now). This resulted in this peculiar situation where I was getting half of each and neither was complete enough to function.

Thanks all for your input.
