Title: How to flash Sharp ROM after OpenZaurus - errors

I though this might be the most appropriate place for this question:

I've been experimenting with ROMs and have just tried to re-flash the 2.38 Sharp ROM after having OpenZaurus 3.5.1 on my Z for a few days.

After the flash, when it first boots, I get a long-winded error message about not being able to read mtdblock1 and that I have to press Control-D to continue.

Can someone tell me why I can't re-flash the Sharp ROM?

I can't tell you why Sharp Rom won't reflash in your case, but I can tell you that Sharp Rom 1.32 did the job for me.

 Although in my case I prefer to use tkcRom 2.0, but after I reflash I still get the openzaurus login prompt for some reason and it won't boot past that. I think that OZ somehow repartitions flash, and it causes other roms not to flash properly. I still am trying to figure out how to reflash back to tkc.

for some reason even a complete NAND Restore does not get rid of the OZ login prompt!!!, which seems to be beyond my understanding, due to the fact that NAND supposed to erease everything.

I think I figured it out!

You have to remove the CF card before the first boot.  The error message is regarding the CF still in the slot.  Of course, that doesn't mean anything regarding the OZ login prompt.  Maybe...switch back to OZ.

I am having a similar problem... I installed OpenZaurus then pdaXrom on my Zaurus, but now when I flash back to the original Sharp ROM, everything seems to work fine, except that it stays without removing during the booting message (white screen with "omachikudasai")
I tried to repartition the memory with different sizes with pdaXrom booter, but I don't really know what values to use
