Title: Can I change default system font?
Post by: dlee27 on October 29, 2004, 04:37:34 pm
Hi, I just got my 6000 and started configuring it. I'm wondering if I can change the font that is used globally. I tried a quick search but I was not able to find anything related.

In a setting there is an appearance and font section but all I can do is just to make it thick.  Thanks.

I'm replying my question. I don't know if there is any elaborate way but I just removed Helvetica and made a symlink to the font I want. That changed the system fonts. Hope this helps anyone who wants to change the fonts.

Cool way to handle that. But did you find out how you can change the default size of the system font? I have found out that the optimal font size for me seems to be something like 16pt which unfortunately is not availble as Helvetica.

Would you elaborate a little on this for me? Where did you relink "Helvetica?"

Thanks,
