Title: wireless discovery

Hi all

  I now have my SL-5500 and am running theKompany rom, with a wcf12 wi-fi card. I am trying to install wellenreiter, kismet [to no avail] or similar wireless discovery tool, should this work okay or should I be looking at another rom or tool?

  Any help greatly received

 Hi infinite.

I'm using kismet on my 5500 with the tkcrom. I'm also using the kismet qt gui application.  I've not been able to get the later versions of kismet to work. You need the version of kismet that has a version number of 2.6.0 when you look in the package manager.

I've not been able to persuade Wellenreiter to work, not even the packages that the OZ boys have set up for use with the Sharp roms.

As regards the ones I couldn' get to work: I'm neither clever enough nor keen enough to put the effort in when the version I'm using works!

I'm sure there are some people who could help you further.
