After a week of running OZ3.5.1 (and several flashing operations), I'm very pleased :-)
Almost everything works (sometimes with some fiddling, hence the 'unstable' status).
I was jsut wondering how to activate IR beam ?
The IR applet does not seem to do anything on my SL-5600.
Do I need a special app/module ?
Then after that, is there any option to beam a file or contact in OPIE ?
Thanks,
Brice
-
install openobex-apps
run "irattach /dev/ttyS0"
then it should work
-
install openobex-apps
it seems openobex-apps is not part of the OZ feed ?
There is only libopenobex...
Can I build it with OE (I don't have the environment at home to verify).
On a side note, it seems to lack lirc-modules too.
Thanks,
Brice

irda applet does nothing on my 5600 as well. do we really need to find openobex-apps (seems hard to find).

so the release notes say we can get the irda-common*.deb and utils pkgs. got those, but then what? ipkg doesnt install them.
-
got it: ar xv
BTW on my 5600 the ir port is on ttyS1 not ttyS0. it works though, thx.

Ninsei, can you beam files back and forth between the Z and something else? or are you using the IRda port for something else?
