Was wondering if the battery meter on this rom reads acurately?
-
It seems to read correctly for me... I\'m not expecting anything scientific here, but usually when it tells me I have 5% left, I can safely assume that my battery will be dead soon
-
my battery would jump from 100% to 5% like nothing. I\'ll charge it overnight again but this is weird. Some readings would show it at 50 then 100% then jump down to 5%. I flashed the rom from a SD card, anybody might think that has something to do with it. Im going to try and get a cf card and flash it that way....hopefully it will make a difference.
-
Mine is probably quite screwed up then, because it\'ll report 100%, then it\'ll jump to 75% (and I know that\'ll be an indication it\'s actually at 50%), then it\'ll jump to 50% (which I know has to indicate about 25%) and then it\'ll just die.
I don\'t know how to fix this, but it\'s a quirk I\'ve learnt to live with.

Mine was fully charged (100% with Sharp Rom and plugged in for several hours) but it only ever showed a maximum of 75%.

That has probably nothing to do with this special ROM as the battery meter reads out \'apm\' which in turns reads out the kernel values. Sharp used a four stages driver, which is pretty braindead. In the OZ kernel for collie we have patched the battery driver to be much more accurate. The patches are in buildroot, perhaps someone wants to adapt them for the c7x0 battery driver.

Yes, i saw it, we added this patch for new crow/cacko rom + new battry applet. Will try add it later to X11 ROM :-)
