I finally got round to making a nicer script and packing it all into an ipk.
What is the difference between the SA and PXA models in relation to usb-storage?
Do I need to make separate ipks for each (bearing in mind there is just a script and the two modules at present)?
I would have got this info off lardman's site, but it seems to have disappeared.
Thanks

The storage_fd.o modules are different I think (though the differences are not much more than the name which the module reports iirc).
The two devices also require different modules to be loaded (pxa_bi/sa1100_bi) and the sa1100_bi module should be re-compiled for the SA machines (using the kernel patch which is in the original thread); the pxa_bi module is fine as it is.
Therefore you could produce a single ipk, but it would have to decide which machine it's running on and then supply the appropriate script and storage_fd.o (and sa1100_bi if it's an SA) module(s).

I don't have the PXA ipk, could you post it here please (if you still have it)?
I am assuming that the SA ipk has the sa1100_bi that was recomplied with the kernel patch.
Thanks

Yes, and assuming the kernel hasn't changed it should be fine.

I'll do so tomorrow when I'm at uni.

Note: this ipk is for parts only... do not install and complain to anyone
