Been toying with pocket workstation and opie. Apparently there is a way to compile opie to use vnc as a graphics backend--eliminating the need for at least a vnc viewer to run debian.
Shouldn't there be a way to use kdrive to handle display of the pocket workstation stuff maybe replacing some of the pocketworkstation x stuff? Would it then be (kind of ) integrable to gpe?
Is there some other way to use the debian arm packages in oz? (without an incredible amount of pain and suffering per package?) I am sure i will hear that it can all be built uzing oe, and i am working on that too. But the existence of this giant repository of stuff that will run on the z makes me think it it could accessed more effectively.
anyone?

after I posted this I found apt and dpkg in the 3.5.2 feed. This raises questions too...
Like how to configue dpkg to install only to sd, for example, or , since I am mid upgrade from 5600 to 6000 and haven't been doing experiments on the 5600 I am selling, what is intended with apt and dpkg? Apt was not at all configured. I didn't get to playing with dpkg, but does it digest debian arm .debs from debian.org? Or is it something along the lines of adding functionality to ipkg while doing strictly oz ipks?

monologue.
would it be possible (any advice?) to install bootstrap, install x from the feed, move it all to sd,
do chroot (if necessary) install apt and dpkg (so they install to sd) and set the apt repositries and be running sid arm?
anyone?
