Unfortunately it SIGSEGVs for us all. I have taken a great burden to make it build, but I refuse to look at it anymore or even debug it. It earns the price for the #1 ugliest source code ever. So much for unnecessary forks - that would have never happened if the author would have decided to work together with us on qpdf1

I compiled it once with gcc3.3.2 and got similar output. I did the same thing as the hack-the-hack patch. Well in older readmes the autor recommended to use friend classes in the included header files. The patch now uses the same "method" setting some private methods to public. Could it be a better issue to go ahead with a patch using friend classes in the related header files? Never tried that, but was thinking about it.
Cheers,
Sam
