Anyone who still has, or has access to, the stock ROM can help. I would like to know a few things.
Even if you can't answer the questions, could you post a screenshot of the vpn client utility?
1, does the 860 come with a vpn client?
2, if so, does it include settings for IPSEC?
3, if so, does it support auto-key IKE?
4, if so, does it support aggressive mode IKE?
5, if so, does it support 3des?
I am trying to get these for about 15-30 remote technicians who do invoicing from the field.
Thanks,
Matt

I use the Sharp ROM on my Zaurus SL-C760, and it does not come with a VPN program as far as I can see. It does, however, allow you to configure WEP for wireless networking.

I was able to get a reply from Brett @ conics.net.
Here is a link to what he says he found on Sharp's Japanese site:
http://conics.net/shp/pda/zaurus-sl-c700/vpn/ (http://conics.net/shp/pda/zaurus-sl-c700/vpn/)
Basically, yes it supports all the things I asked about.

I want to point out that the link above says c700, but I am under the understanding it is for the c860. I don't know what is on the c700.
While on the topic of what is on other cxxx devices:
Does Anyone have info about the c750?
bargainpda says it has the vpn client.
http://www.bargainpda.com/default.asp?news...owComments=true (http://www.bargainpda.com/default.asp?newsID=1592&showComments=true)
Scroll down towards the bottom. There is a screenshot showing the vpn tab in the network config utility. The review says IPSEC is supported, but the author didn't try it out.
Does anyone have a c750 with the stock Sharp ROM? I would like to get more info on this.
Thanks,
Matt
