Try gnumeric and abiword instead.
Smaller, faster, part of official Gnome Office suite, already available in pdaXrom ftp.

Hi ...

Yes abiword is much smaller und runs faster on Z ... I like abiword too ...

but I'm using oo on my linux box at home and using sxw, but is there a posibility of reading sxw files from oo without converting them before ?

Abiword is the reason why i chose pdaxrom for my Z.

It can import/export OOo files with a specific plugin.

Check this page :

Gnumeric is OK, but Abiword butchers my documents. I use OpenOffice at home and at work, but it runs godawfully slow on my desktop, so I can't imagine how they would run on my Z even though it would be nice to have the option.

hi,

i'm forced to interchange ms-office files at work... abiword is working fine with ms.doc as far as i tried it... (mainly viewing docs on zaurus)

but gnumeric shows me very strange numbers in excel sheets!

is there a trick?

Hi titus,

i also have this thing with gnumeric.
Now i have setup debian (see recent thread) and installed gnumeric on debian.

I don"t have the strange numbers when using this.

Cheers,
Chero

It is very intresting to have O.O. on Z.
