Please tell me how long the battery lasts if your playing movies or using everything at the max. I don't belive that the sl-c3000 PDA can last 7 hours and companies like Sony write such misleading info with their PDAs.
-
I did not test it, and just send the SL3000 I had to the person who had bought it, too bad
BTW Zaurus are made by Sharp, not Sony...
-
I really doubt a MircoDrive+ CGsilicon can last 7 hours w/ a 1800mah battery.
Also consider that CF and SD also consume battery. (tho it is little)
-
my 860 can actually last 7 hours with a 4Gb microdrive and a 1Gb SD card in it and playing movies/mp3/warcraftII/doing onboard compiling etc ... (okay the screen is not at his maximum btightness for that and is switched off while playing mp3 and compiling (everyday usage) but microdrives don't take that much battery comparing to flash memory CF card ... )

I know that the SL-C3000 is made by Sharp and not Sony. I just want to know the real life of the dictionary with full backlighting while doing something that uses cpu power like watching a movie. If anyone has a fully charged battery in their PDA could you do a test to see how much of the battery is used in 20 minutes or longer. Then I can work out if it's good enough for what I want.
Thank you for the quick messages.

I don't have a C3000, but unless Sharp has vastly improved their battery manager, running it for 20 minutes won't tell you much. From what i recall from readint the forums, at least on the c860, the battery readings are only around 25, 50, 75, 100 percent.
Check in the C3000 forums and see if anyone's posted the information there. You might also get more responses to your hardware specific question in those forums

I read some specs on a Japanese site for the C3k.
It gave the battery life as 7+ hours, however that was with the backlight at minimum and the screen displaying the calendar - ie not using at all). Didn't mention if any CF/SD or other cards were in the machine.
I'll try to find the link and post it.

Thank you. Today I went to Yodobashi and played with a fully charged SL-C3000 but after 20 minutes when I went to check the battery time I only saw a big blue battery pic. The percent of the battery wasn't written anywhere. So, I have no idea how much was used.

I couldn't help myself and bought a SL-C3000. After I charge the battery I will play a movie with the full back light on and write down how long it lasted. I'm guessing 2 to 3 hours.

I find that the battery indicator is not very clear. It can only show full and half.
Once it become half, it will suddenly prop up a message and said that need to connect to AC adaptor and then cannot power on.
Any better battery indicator program for C3000?
