Post by: rosebud on December 12, 2004, 02:27:56 pm
I can wait mickeyl or other OZ guru take care with this. I know Sharp camera isn't the better digit cameral or so (daily i use one minolta f200), but it's a good toy and today you can made videos or take pics. But with OZ 3.5.2 i can't make it. Help me, please.

Best regards,

Pedro (from the south of Europe=Spain)

P.S.: Look at my picture. I take that with OZ 3.3.5 and Sharp CE-AG 06 camera. And you can see the old bastard (Lenin) at the upper right corner.

Sorry, I can't reproduce problems with camera support in 3.5.2, it works just fine here. Just redid the procedure from scratch:

1) installed OZ 3.5.2
2) installed sharp-camera-support from vanille.de/temp
3) installed opie-camera from the oz feed
4) rebooted
5) inserted the camera
6) launched opie-camera

and it worked.

Mickey,
I am new to the Zaurus community.  I just recently purchased a used SL-5500.  I am a Windows 2003 pocket pc owner and would like to move everything to open source.  I have located the sharp-cameral-support-*.ipk file.  What I cannot find is the Opie-Camera-*.ipk file.  I have found the source, but it's CVS and I don't know what to do with it.  As I am new to the linux PDA community, if at all possible please list step by step where i can get my packages and how to install them.  I am a Fedora Core 3 user.  I am not exactly a beginner, but with the PDA thing I am.  So, with that being said, make it easy for a 5 year-old kindergartner.  LOL!

Thanks for all your help,
Dave
