I need a copy of this file from RC5 which i accedently deleted:
/lib/modules/2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix/kernel/drivers/block/sharp_mmcsd_m.o
Thanks

I'd post it if I had my zaurus with me, but sadly, it's at home today.
Anyway, this is definitely the biggest argument for supporting (and 'forcing') a non-root user from the start. When you have ANYONE ranging from complete linux/unix newbies up to gurus, mistakes get made when you run as root all the time. Period. This should definitely be a priority for the pdaXrom developers to fix in upcoming releases.
Out of curiosity, how did you manage to 'accidentally' delete a file anywhere in /lib/modules? Running 'rm' on anything in that directory should always make you think twice.

I wanted to remove my compiled kernel modules for bestcrypt, which are in the same directory, and wasn't thinking clearly when i pressed enter. And i don't feel like reinstalling the rom for just 1 file.

I have a rule, don't delete anything unless I know exactly what it does, and what will happen if its not there.

Of course, everyone makes mistakes.

There is a replacement patch for that file for SL-5500 here in the zug downloads..

I use it on my SL-5500 with stock sharp 3.13 rom, and it greatly increased read/write performance to my SD card.
Don't know if it will work for you or not, but it might be worth a try.
