Title: No Sound Or High Quality Picture In Scummvm
Post by: delusional on December 14, 2004, 09:05:49 am
I've just installed scummvm. I'm using version 0.5.1 from the gnurou.org (http://www.gnurou.org/software/zaurus/) feed, because 0.6.1 from the oz feed was giving me a lot of problems with installation (complaints about libvorbisidec0 iirc, and failing to install with -force-depends).

I'm having several problems with it however:

1. I'm not getting any sound from scummvm, at all. My sound works fine from xmms, but not a peep out of scummvm. I've checked the same games in scummvm on my desktop and everything works fine there...

2. I can only run Monkey Island 1 with the Amiga Palette, which doesn't look as good as it could. When I try and run it in full techni-colour it crashes just after the "history test" security thing. I'm getting a non-descript libSDL error in the console from this
Code: [Select]
Fatal Signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed). Monkey Island 2 exits with the same error all the time just as it loads the protection screen. I'm using libSDL-1.2.6cvs-1.

Any help/ideas appreciated.

Thanks.
