Post by: bone on December 18, 2004, 09:40:18 am
Can a Zaurus be used as an USB boot drive for a desktop?

Has anyone done it?

I'll take that to be a "no."

If the Z is set to emulate generic USB storage (to the SD or CF card) and the PC is set to boot from USB, seems like it oughta work... but no, I've never tried it.

You can try with:
usb-storage_1.0.0_arm.ipk

When I find the link I'll post it, if anyone needs it.
I still haven't tried it, but everyone that did says its essential!

Link to the d'load page. (http://zsi2.stonekeep.com/index.php?v=d&a=1768)
But it is for the 5500/5000 only. Specifically warned against installing in 5600.
Is there a similar package for the 5600?
