Just a quick note as it has just dawned on me why a lot of windows people are having problems flashing with CF cards and such like.
In windows if you don't use the Stop Device tray icon or the eject option in My Computer then the end of the files written to CF are not written, but the FAT is updated leaving you with a corrupt flash image on your card. I just did this in a moment of dopiness and the bulb suddenly turned on with people having problems flashing.

Hmm..
What version of windows are you useing? I flash fine with XP and a Medion card reader/writer. Maybe because I have the Optimize for quick removal option checked? (In device Manager, CF device, Policies) But I think that's the default.

I have XP SP2.
But its a good general bit of advice, you should never rely on something happening to get written to disk. You should always make sure it does. Lose a couple of bytes off a jpeg and you might be annoyed. Brick your Z and you'll be fuming
