I know that this topic was discussed on OZ 3.5.1 but is there a simple solution. Word Game starts but it knows no words.

You need the dawg file. Copy it (or symlink it) to /opt/QtPalmtop/etc/dict
You can get it from the original wordgame or I've uploaded it here.
Have Fun!!!

Anyone know where the wordlist it creates is, or is it only temporary? Also does anyone know if it uses the DAWG for something more than just the game, it would be wonderful if it could be used as a spellcheck in some applications.

Hello!
I cannot seem to download the dawg file that Jcroto posted. Maybe it has expired or some such.
Is there another source or could someone repost it? Or perhaps does anyone know the whereabouts of a converter that wordgame will like? It's not as if I don't have plenty of wordlists to choose from! There are plenty of converters out there, but they all seem to be for someone's personal flavor of dawg file.
Thanks,
Sluggy!

DAWG is also used by the handwriting app to autocomplete words as you enter them

Someone asked where the file is that Wordgame creates when you tell it to add a word? Anyone know which file this is? I believe there is a freely available text file with the Official Scrabble Words in. I think it's also possible to configure Wordgame with Scrabble rules (correct letter frequencies, points and bonuses) - any ideas, I had trouble working out the meaning of the numbers in the config file.

Dictionary files are in opie-i18n-LANG packages. In future releases they will be packaged separately into opie-dict-LANG.
If someone know good program to "compile" words file (from /usr/share/dict/words) into "dawg" one then please give me info about it - I want to create Polish dictionary (other languages can follow - wordlists are available in Debian for example).
