Title: Making a swapfile
Post by: DnK on January 05, 2004, 03:00:05 am
Hi folks,

i\'m trying to set up a swap space in the Z\'s internal flash. swapon gives an error saing that there is an unknown option... what could this mean if i do - \'swapon ./swapfile\' (ofcourse ater dd & mkswap)?

any suggestions?

Regards,
 DnK

You cannot create a swap space on the Zaurus itself due to the unusual filing system it uses. You can only create a swap file on an EXT2 / FAT16 formatted SD or CF card.

Maybe it\'s somehow possible to use fdisk on internal flash to make a swap partition?
