Undoing my keyboard light mod. Thought I'd show a few pics of the innards while they were exposed.

Nice Pics!! I am inspired- ran into the same issue with the 6000 on a recent flight, needed light to type. Maybe a little bit of EL tape along the top of the KB...hmmm....

I'm wondering how well USB lights work with the Z? I imagine they'd work OK and serve a similar purpose.

I've wondered the same thing about using USB lights on a Zaurus.
Can anyone verify that they work ok? (I'm sure they probably will though)
I use my Tungsten C alot in the dark and it's a pain to not have a lit keyboard. If USB lights work on the new Zaurus's with USB host, that would be great

I think you'll just have to check if the lamp is USB 1.1 compliant and do not require USB 2 to run as USB 2 provides more power than 1.1

Usb lights work, the fun part is finding a place to clip them.

Where is the 802.11 antenna in there?

It's under the screen. I didn't want to take the screen off again, cause I didn't need to and the ribbon cables are really easy to screw up. It wasn't so bad with the iPaq's, I could get parts.

Thank you very much. Wondering if there would be a way to add to the antenna for increased range.

It's doable but check my arguments from the weak antenna thread a few down from this one.

Tks,
Further posts will go in there. I should know better on this forum. If I think of something there is prolly already a posting about it! <G>
Thanks for the pointer.
