Post by: grog on January 01, 2005, 02:14:39 pm
Is there any way to shut the screen off in OZ-OPIE 3.5.2? I'd like to save the extra juice when I'm listening to mp3's. thks

In light and power settings, there is a check box to deactivate LCD only (does not suspend).

I don't know if this works because I've never tried it.

That's the setting so the Z will only shut the screen off instead of suspending in power saving mode. I use that when my Z's in the cradle. But what I'm looking for is a taskbar applet that I can just shut the screen off manually.

along these lines, once shut off my screen seems not to want ot come back on.  If the the problem of turning it off manually is solved, could we also cover how to gety it back on without rebooting?
