Title: Installing The New Cacko Rom
Post by: emerika on January 01, 2005, 04:31:01 pm
What are people doing about backup and restoring their data around installing the new ROM?  All I really care about is my contacts, my calendar and my data in the notes section of the text editor?  I am happy to reinstall my applications.

Last time I saved it manually.  I just wondering what others are doing?

backup /home/zaurus to SD, restore once I've flashed. takes all of 2 minutes, and about 15 secs if you have a SSH server and a full-size keyboard to type on

Can the "Backup Restore" program that comes with Cacko Rom 1.21 be used to successfully backup all my program settings or will I need to manually backup additional files?  My main concern are the following programs:  IQNotes, Netfront bookmarks, and KO/Pi.
