Hi all!
Didnt realy know where this fits so I post here....
(what about a Debian-ARM Forum?)
I finally got Debian running with Xqt on my 3k (as a Linux Noob I'm very proud of my self and a BIG thx to all of you who made this possible)
I run the Debian from a 512 MB SD Card now I would like to mount the internal hdd of my SL-C3000 when I start Pocketworkstation and swap on it. Is that possible without reformating the hdd and how?
I guess this would extend the lifetime of the SD Card?
thx

It is possible to swap into a file on ext3. Unfortunatelly, I didn' tried it.

have a look at this thread guys

orange, i'm interested in a howto on how to run debian under X/QT on 3k. have you written such a thing or do you have the links you've followed for this ? are you still able to run Qtopia apps in it ?
-
thx for your replys
I followed this debianXqtWiki (http://wiki.debian.net/index.cgi?PocketWorkstation-XQT) yes Qtopa is still working
edit: darkloran I looked in to your link that is what I want to do but for the debian the problem is that I cant mount hda3 in the Debian I ever get:
mount: special device /dev/hda3 does not exist
I think that is because I run it from the SD card cuz I want to keep the formating of the MicroDrive as they are

OK got it working now thx to hatchetman who answered my question here (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8125&st=150)
