I'm hearing the possibility a new model 3000 will have a Hitachi 10gb harddrive option very shortly. Will let ya know if I hear more.

nice....time for full distro linux.  I know distros can fit 4gb, but 10gb would make it more practical.

Why, oh why are you tempting me like that?  I just quelled the urge to ditch my C760 w/4GB CF microdrive because the 3000 didn't offer much more than I already have, now you go and announce this.

I do hope they also add a few other enhancements to the new model, if it is indeed coming out:

1)  Better screen like the 6000 for better readability outdoors --  larger 4in version would also be nice
2)  I know built-in 802.11g is asking too much but built-in Bluetooth would eliminate one of my external CF cards.  Then I could leave my wifi in permanently and have 10GB of drive space internal (sweet).
3)  2.6 kernal upgrade

Now that would be nice.

Well even if SHARP decides not to put the HD in it we can always make it an option all you need is a screw driver and soldering iron  because either way the HD is coming.

Any news about this?
Akihabara News (http://www.akihabaranews.com/) has now also heard
rumours about a new Zaurus in March. They have no details yet.
