Hello , just ordered the sl-c3000. Can someone let me know what is the best way to sync with Lotus Notes on my Laptop. There are so many threads when I did a search all with various answers , and ROM installs etc ( Scary thought) .
Just want the eaisest for now and when I get more confident move onto ROM replacements etc.

OK , I think I have a solution , but please can you answer this. Are the PIM applications compatible with Intellisync ?

Intellisync is included with the C3000 and syncs the Z with MS Outlook.

What you probably need to do is sync to Qtopia Desktop, and then use NotesSync to sync with Lotus notes. Have a look at the following site for more:
http://www.notessync.com/ (http://www.notessync.com/)
The author has made NotesSync free and GPL'ed now and since cyphactor reverse engineered the propriertary Sharp sync protocol it may be possible that someone could write a direct sync between Lotus Notes and a Zaurus.

One more option. I found this and am using it to sync my Notes calendar.
http://mmo-zaurus.hp.infoseek.co.jp/znsync/znsync.html (http://mmo-zaurus.hp.infoseek.co.jp/znsync/znsync.html)
It pauses before actually writing data to zaurus, so we can see what data are actually going to be written, this is good because I hear complaint from my friend who is Palm + Intellisync user for duplicated data or sync failure.
Possible downside for you is GUI and menu texts are in Japanese only at this point. Also, I had to switch date format in Windows control panel 'Regional and Language Options', where date format in English(US) is usually MM/DD/YY but it is YYYY/MM/DD in Japanese Windows. It looks to me Lotus Notes is detecting this but znsync software isn't . I will try to contact znsync developer to fix this issue.

Thanks , guys ...
This is great ... I thought my c3k would be delivered today , but not arrived yet . I will try all options you have given me.
Thanks Again

I sent an e-mail to developper of znsync and also got a response very quick.
He said in his note that he can add option in the next update (ver0.2) to manually choose 'date' format so that it works in any region. can't wait.

Great Just recieved my C3k today Zsync looks like the answer just when I try and run it after unzipping it it gives Notes then some Japanese then does nothing. Please excuse what probably seems a daft newbie question but how do you set it up?

wardys,
I can't recommend ansync at this point. Main difficulties are the following two.
1) GUI and documentations are in Japanese only.
2) Windows date format issue I posted the other day. (ver0.2 may solve this)
If you still want to venture into, perhaps your problem is due to the following.
Did you install both server and client? znsync server runs on Zaurus and Here (http://mmo-zaurus.hp.infoseek.co.jp/znsync/znsync_0.1.0-1_arm.ipk) is the link to ipk. The zip file is only for znsync client to be run on Windows.
Also, PC link setting has to be 'network' (either real network or network over USB), i.e., not a USB mass-storage mode.

Thanks DreamTheater . One last question . In the Config on the Z . Do I quote the IP address of my Laptop , Notes server or the Z . I am running it and setting the IP as the Z at the moment but nothing happens . My lotus notes can I sync from Local or does this have to be Server connected.
Many Thanks

The easiest way would be to set the PC Link as network over USB (it really is samba over USB). Also, notes server has to be reachable otherwise znsync client can't get todo/calendar entries from notes.
