Title: X11 ROM and Sprint's Vision PCS
Post by: moskvich79 on January 12, 2004, 01:36:45 pm
What I used:

1) Sanyo 8100 + usb cable
2) RATOC USB host card

You'll need the usb modules and ratoc drivers from here (http://paipai.org/~humorum/english/zaurus/cfu1-driver.html).
After you install those two ipks and reboot, follow the instructions on this page (http://www.natecarlson.com/linux/sanyo-4900.php). There's no device node /dev/ttyACM0...so you'll have to create it by doing the following: \"mknod /dev/ttyACM0 c 166 0\". Modprobe acm and you are set. pppd call sprint, baby! To disconnect just do \"kill `cat /var/run/ppp0.pid`\". I get 8-9KB/s on average with bursts up to 13KB/s.
Happy wireless web surfing!
