Hello Everyone,
Insomnia was awful last night and so in the wee hours I came across iBurst. They say that they are going to provide Compact Flash modems for their service "in the future"
http://www.iburst.com.au/?faq=general&serv...ces&appCode=e (http://www.iburst.com.au/?faq=general&services=faq&main=services&appCode=e)
"Which devices are supported by the iBurst system e.g. laptops, desktops, handhelds?
The iBurst service is currently available via:
An iBurst laptop modem for mobile use
A desktop modem for fixed setups.
In the future iBurst will be available for PDAs and there are plans to reduce the modem down to compact flash card size and ultimately embed iBurst into devices.
They already have a USB device (though a touch bulky on the Z) AND BEST OF ALL THEY SUPPORT MAC and LINUX (2.4 kernal and higher - but not on the USB modem (2.6 or above ))

Disclosure Statement - I have NOTHING to do with iBurst, unless they ever need a disability services practitioner
Cheers,
AdamD

i have heard of them but unwired seems to be making a big push in the NSW area, perhaps you want to contact iburst about this
also might want to note about thier "roaming'policy as ethier iburst or unwired dosent allow roaming as they cant switch users between base stations (cant remeber wihch one)
