New Cosmo update on Indiegogo, with video discussing new linux update providing mouse button support using the CODI buttons. Great idea.
However, on Planet's linux support page, no mention of this update.
Hope they release it soon!

Yes, this is very good. I have also received this news from Planet by mail.I hope I have not to reinstall a new linux image. Maybe only updating the system will be necessary. Let's wait.

hopefully it will also support right-click

Any news? Has this actually been released yet? Or spotted in the wild?
Their webpage still seems to have v2 as the latest here http://support.planetcom.co.uk/download/cosmo-customos-installer-v2.zip
and I thought that was the one we received much earlier this year?
Thanks.

Has not been released yet......
Check their support page that has news.....and then look at most recent news item under the Cosmo heading, it's from July.

My guess is that in typical Planet fashion, they discovered some bugs after they did that video and are (hopefully....) working on fixing them before releasing the update.
So it goes.....

It has now been released. Ironically, I installed the July release on the 18th only to discover ont he19th thatthey've released the CoDi mouse version that same day. So yesterday I got to reinstallit again. It looks pretty good. Has anyone managed to get the CoDi mouse working? What's the trick?

Don't install the OTA update. That was my fault.
What I did: flashed manually back the v14 (took some runs to work). Than installed the v15 custom patch with mouse functionality.
Under linux you have to install the codi-app. Android also have to be the latest.

I installed the new linux version (v3) from scratch. It seams that mouse support only works on user cosmo,
but not on login screen and not on an additional created user. I added the new user to the same groups the user cosmo has, except the cosmo primary group.
If there is a user specific configuration, is should be at the skel directory (may be i missed this on useradd ???).
Anyone tried messaging and phonecall on closed cosmo ( could not try it - i did not have a sim card in place ::)?

The codi-app is is installed to /home/cosmo/.config/autostart/codi.desktop, you have to copy the same file to the same location of the user you created.

We have now two threads covering the same topic. I'm closing this thread, please continue the discussion on the other thread (Cosmo Linux firmware v3 has been released with Cosmo Cover Display support.): https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?topic=36425.0
