Any chance in seeing a ROM for the Z based upon Qtopia 2.1?  I personally would love to play around with the latest Qtopia.  Also, what is the point of OPIE since Qtopia 2.1 is GPL'd?  I'm really surprised there are no discussions regarding this topic.  Will Opie merge again with Qtopia?

1) yes.
2) Qtopia has always been open source/GPL'd. Opie is based on Qtopia 1.5. Personally, I would like to see Opie merge with Qtopia 2.1, and Opie already has merged in a few things.
