Hardware Mods / Question Abt. Japanese Page Re Bluetooth Mod

I second that, no need to disconnect 5V or data line, ground will do it.

From my short experience with wiring USB modules to Zaurus, pelrun is absolutely right  - ground line needs to be disconnected (not just 5V line). If you will keep ground connected to both modules, it would leak too much current on usb data lines.

No problem, I just wanted to set the record streigth.

If I'm not mistaken, Guylhem probably mentioned the older models, not pxa270-based C1000/3x00....
Thanks.

In an older post albertr mentioned he got nothing valid out of the serial lines on his C1000.

No, I never said that. In fact, I posted many times on this (and other forum) that serial UART lines are available on Sharp I/O port on 1000/3x00 Zaurii. They are logical 3V TTL levels, so need RS232 tranceiver. In fact, I'm using it on my C1000 with Sharp serial cable quite often.

There's no JTAG lines on Sharp I/O port on 1000/3x00 AFAIK.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Gprs Connection Instability
« on: October 02, 2006, 11:20:44 am »
I use Nokia 6230b and built-in bt 1,1 module. Can stay for hours online and can drive for a few hours having internet connection uninterrupted on my Z. EDGE here is about 90-100kbps downstream on average day, so I'm waiting for UMTS/HSDPA available.

Hrw, your link must be for old Zaurii models, like 5500/5600. AFIK, there's no JTAG lines on Sharp I/O port connector on clamshell Zaurii. Also, the seven test contact pads I mentioned before don't have JTAG lines either.

I belive that JTAG is available on the Zaurus, At least on CXXX, there're test contact pads next to CPU/RAM chips, I need to check my records, but I think it;s JTAG lines.

Hardware Mods / Stuffing Serial Bluetooth Module Inside C1k Casing
« on: June 24, 2006, 08:29:02 pm »
I'm not sure I understand your question... Yes, I'm using a 1K resistor. It works fine for me. What kind of proof you are looking for? With a 1K resistor on PCL pin, TK3850 is delivering enough juice to power both wi-fi and bt modules inside my C1K. But if I connect the external usb ethernet dongle at the same time, it shuts itself off (overcurrent protection kicks in). I didn't really want to have a possibility of three usb devices powered up at the same time, so it's fine with me. Most of the time, I use either bt or wi-fi or external ethernet only.

Software / Powernowd Cpu Frequency And Vcore Scaling Daemon

So if you run powernowd with "-n" option, does it work?

As far us suspend goes, did you kill powernowd BEFORE suspending?

Any resistor would do. The amount of current flowing thru it is almost nil. The 5-10% deviation from nominal resistance is insignifacant too. I use the one from Radioshack solded with flying leads. Works fine.

dproldan,

If you can post your findings with powernowd running, that would be great! What /etc/powernowd.conf file are you using?
