I have a Zaurus 5500 that I flashed to Openzaurus 3.3.6-Pre1 with Opie 1.1.4.I suggest a re-install!
Everytime I power up the Zaurus, it hangs. The only way I can get it to power up is to reset the unit first.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Even if you stay with default Sharp ROM, I suggest to upgrade the kernel - it provides a few benifits. Can you post a list of these benifits!
Great idea, BTW I read that same article but missed the Mailbox part!
Oh, we need to push this PDA so it does not go the way of the CLIE...Z Users Unite
lets let them know we are out here:
Handheld Mag email is : letters@mobilemg.com

yep, I'm posting this from my SL-5500. all i can say is i wish i had a 760 with a big screen. other than that, its not to bad.Try rotating the screen when posting thats what I do also install Opera 7.30 if you haven't already and use the small screen mode. But I hear you on the 760
qman : I have tried Opie Reader but with no success.Sorry to here that OPIE Reader didn't work, did it install and run OK and just wouldn't load/read the ebook or did it fail to install and run at all?
Jim
I've just purchased and downloaded a pdb format ebook from Powells.com under the mistaken belief that my reader supported this format.Have you tried OPIE Reader it reads .pdb files and is what I use on my 5500
I've tried a couple of other readers but with no success.
Can anyone recommend another reader known to work with pdb formats?
Thanks,
Jim
Assuming it\'s a 5600, as in your sig... Nothing really bad. Supposedly if you run it down to completly no power a lot (like every single charge/discharge cycle), it can cause the battery to mess up, but you can buy another.
So to sum it up... Nothing really bad.
I didn\'t see any facility to import or export .qif files.
I wanted to import at least this years data from quicken, but was sufficiently pleased with the rest of the program to forego the history, and start fresh.
Qman:
We would really like to see your response to this and comment on any plans for this.
One other request would be to add comments/notes for transfer transactions.
