oh, thx, i though apop meant authentication pop, and because i had problems with pop in the first place, thx i got it working now.

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I have done everything that was in the tips on how to get gmail working, and i am able to send through it. but when i try to received, i am stuck at the logging in part. and yes, i have just changed the gmail seting to enable pop, and i am using apop as well.
any help will be great. tia

General Discussion / Silly little Stylus nugget of info for C7X0 and C860.

they have a tungsent T pen stylist. it is slightly bigger than the original tugesent stylist so u don\'t have to worry about it falling out, and the best part is u get a pen with it, i love it.
the only complaint about the stylist is the telescoping is not as smooth as the original T stylist, but i can live with it

Sharp ROMs / New kernel for Orinico/Symbol/Socket users

javaboy, i think its you, i have tried everything that you have said step by step and i am getting somewhere but not quite there yet. for details i have c760 running of Cacko rom with the new kernal and 96mb mod with WCF12. now, my card works fine after i make the alteration with the wlan-ng.conf file. so that might be something to think about.
now the problem i am running into is this. when running the commands that you said, the three cardctl commands, the second command cardctl scheme qpewlan0, it will get stuck. and when i ctrl-c it, it gives me the message some devices did not start cleanly. now that when i run wellenreiter, it says that the device is not configured properly. and my card just keeps on blinking. thx for ur help.

hi, I need help installing wellenreiter. i have got the ipkg_0.99.37-20030108-sharprom_arm.ipk and libopie_0.9.1-200212114.ipk installed. when i try to install libopie2_1.8.1-20030718.2_arm.ipk it gives me the error \"ipkg: /debian-binary: Read-only file system\" but there is no such directory. so i am a little confused. when i went ahead and try to install wellenreiter, it gives me the same error msg. any help will be great apprieciated. thx

Software / Tips on Kismet on C760???

hey guys, I had a 5500 before, and i needed to set the ip information to 0.0.0.0 for kismet to detect networks, but now, with the c760, it won\'t allow me to set that ip, just wondering how you have upset your network information to make kismet work on the c760, TIA
