oke sorry that i posted the post before to fast! Ximageon is a new x11 server. hmmm....

should i try the upgrade script from tyrannozaurus to pdaxii13 on my c7x0? is there Ximageon allredy installed??
my problem is, that i don't have 10MB free NAND space. can i deinstall X11 and so on.... ?

bvdd doesn't work on pxa25x clamshells like the corgi, boxer and shepherd. If you want to watch movies I'd recommend using Ximageon + vo_xv in mplayer.

thanx for this infos. i searched now for an ximageon package but i don't find anything. do you now, if there is a feed anywhere?

hi

i have installed various pdaxrom and openzaurus versions but i can't watch my movies on my slc700. so i found out that i should have a distro with at least the kernel-version 2.4.20 to modprobe the bvdd module...

but where can i download the 1.1.0beta3 for corgy?? the download section doesent work anymore... the whole mail.pdaxrom.org server doesn't respond.

have somebody an other idea how to work with bvdd? i have 1.1.0beta1 and 1.1.0beta4, ( but i won't go on 2.6.x again, because bvdd sholdn't work there anymore.. so no more beta4).

ou yes... on this japanese homepage ist written, that bvdd won't work on sl-cxx0... but the hp is very old... does it work somewhere??

i have corgi (sl-c700) and i don't have these problems with the battery.
is your battery allright??
also, when my battery is during power on lowpower: zaurus starts to blink and beta4 is turning him off... i can plug in the dc and then the starting scripts went work further. (sorry for my english : )
suspend is also working.
so i don't no... are there perhaps diffrent beta4's out?? i installed it some weeks ago.

hi!
i have a problem... i need urgently any help for my video installation (i'm using beta4 on a corgi).
after a while is my screen turning to black...
i tried startx and there in the "set light and power" i turned the power thingis to 0min.
but i need to restart and i think this won't help, because i don't startx afterwards...
in /etc/rc.d/rc5/ i have an S95mplayer which starts looping the video... but after some minutes the screen went black...

the rungetty i used is an old one... so perhaps that's why. has anybody an nice link to an introducing how to crosscompile for pdaxrom1.1.0beta4??

now i just worte a new init script and putted in /etc/rc.d/rc5.d as S95mplayer
and it works : )

some lines from S95mplayer:

start() {

setfl 30     #set screen brightness
clear
mplayer -vo fbdev -fs -loop 0 -quiet /mnt/cf/output.mov

from 0-10... I would suggest not to use 0... it will blank you screen...

i have two corgis and so i saw that the setfl 10 isn't so light itensitive as the other.
30 is the upper limit : )

but i have a lot of problems to slove first... so i think your solution with compiling is in this time to much for me.

i looked i the python thing... but i dont't understand much : ( so, Late when you have time.... it would be suuuuper, when you could post it here : )

i started the emergenc system...
with dmesg i can't move up and down so i can't see which device is recognized and which fs type they are...

how can i mount the internal eprom, where the pdaxrom beta4 installed??

jau the first step is done  
i've downloaded from deb old stable the arm package... copied to /sbin/...
then i changed the /etc/inittab to:

1:2:respawn:/sbin/rungetty tty1 --autologin root
ln:345:respawn:/sbin/rungetty tty1 --autologin root

and restart : )

beta4 works allredy great... compared with openzaurs 3.5.4.1-rc4 with 2.6.16'er kernel : )

i need an autologin and i'm not shure if it's possible just to tune the /etc/inittab somehow, without running rungetty or mingetty... ??
because i don't have these programs...
and i can't crosscompille : (

after the autologin, zaurus should start mplayer with some options from the console. but i don't find an .bashrc or an .profile. where can i start automaticly a script after the login?

i flashed the rom as here written in this post.
then i had the same problem as cortez. u-boot is booting the emergency system, but the autoboot.sh script didnt't find the cf card, so there was no flashing:

I've started the Emergency system WITHOUT the CF card inserted. This ends with the shell prompt. NOW I inserted the CF card. At this point the CF is recognized correctly, so I'm able to continue be entering the following command:

cd /mnt/cf
./autoboot.sh /mnt/cf
This continues the installation process, and reboots the system.
Works like a charm so far!

i have corgi (c700) and made it the same as cortez... aaaand now it works : )
