Sharp ROMs / What would you like to see in Cacko 1.22 ROM?

Time to weigh in.   I am also in a position of having to use XP and Microsoft Office.  I will not have a choice for any other OS or email program.  My Z must be able to sync for it to be useful.  I have tried KO/Pi and I am very impressed, but it MUST have a DTM to sync (at least for now)  Please do not pull the Sharp apps, unless and until KO/Pi can sync with XP and Outlook.

No longer an issue.  I found someone to compile.  I now have a landscape version and it works great!!!!

I am required to use Outlook at work as my email front end from Exchange.   Is there a possibility that there will be a way to sync directly from Outlook to KDE-Pim/Pi?

Help needed:

I loaded KO/PI version 1.7.7 on y C-750 and in order to get my dates into it, I have to Synchronize from the built in Calendar.  Is this version the same or has that been enhanced to sysnc directly with Outlook via Intellisync?  


If I wish to try Zaurus version of this enhanced product, does anyone have step-by-step instructions for what to load where and when?  I ask as I can't afford to loose any data.

Yes, I tried that and it takes up so little of the screen, I found it unusable in landscape.  You are correct, it works on MOST apps designed for the SL5x00.  Sorry I forgot to mention that.

I was wondering if anyone could possibly recompile Old Time Radio (OTR) for the clamshell series?  Plays audio books well and would prefer it in native landscape mode.

Interesting.  Did you do anything special?  Does the find field work?   Does your ROM include the 1.21b Patch?

What I rememeber regarding the repeat events is the terrible way the original ROM/Calendar on my sl5500 had been handled.  Repeat events in Outlook became individual events on Z.  This caused an issue if series of events in Outlook was cancelled/deleted or trying to cancel/delete all of repeted event on Z.

So what you are saying MIGHT work for me is to first sync Outlook with Calendar from Cacko ROM and then sync with KO/PI??  Would that create 2 reminders?  One from built in PIM and one from Ko/Pi.

I have been using the Cacko ROM on my C750 with the PIM apps that are built in the ROM.  I have been waiting (& waiting & waiting ....) for tkc to get their sync working so that I could give them a try.  Today Shawn told the mail list that the developer is working on a more important undisclosed project.  So, I am hoping that there may be a product/setting that I may have missed and someone here can point me in the right direction.

I need a PIM that syncs with Outlook ( A must for work.  No choice in this.). I want one that has the ability to delay or snooze reminders and not just dismiss them.  I want a month view that shows more on the display than just colored lines (like Pocket Informant for the PocketPC).  I want one that handles repeating appointments as repeating appointments (not like the frist version Sharp put out).  I want tasks to be able to have alarms as well.

Any ideas??

Sharp ROMs / Address Book Issues with Cacko ROM 1.21b

I was wondering if anyone else is experienceing the same issues that I am.  When I click on the alphabet tabs in the Address Book in this ROM, there is no response from the software.   When I type ANY character the the text box located next to these tabs, all the entries in my address book "disappear" (I thought this was a quick search).  The Find function under the Option menu works, but there are many times either of the other 2 ways to locate names would be quicker.
