Archos forum / Has Anyone Formatted An Av700 Tv?
« on: December 11, 2006, 05:03:57 pm »
I thought I would add an update to my problem with my AV700 TV in case anyone else is having difficulties. I have not needed to format the drive, thankfully. Running Scandisk and reinstalling the update software had not resolved the multiple and erratic problems I was experiencing. I tried Scandisk again and, once more, reinstalled the software. My AV700 TV has been fine since. Hope this is helpful to someone.

Archos forum / Has Anyone Formatted An Av700 Tv?

I'm having some problems with my Archos AV700 TV becoming a little erratic. I read the manual and the Archos.com FAQ and two things struck me. One was the advice to format the drive if Scandisk did not resolve the problem (which it didn't). The other was that defragmenting the drive could cause problems. I'm afraid I have defragmented the drive as I hadn't spotted that in the manual previously.

My next option is to format the drive. I've looked at the instructions and it states that formatting will wipe all files. I just wondered if anyone had already formatted an AV700 TV and how they had got on? I'm a bit nervous of doing it. I assume that when they say it deletes all the files, it doesn't mean the system files. Can anyone advise?

Archos forum / Av700 Tv + Film Four
« on: December 03, 2006, 05:00:09 pm »
I also did not get Filmfour on my AV700 TV when it first came out. I downloaded the latest firmware and installed it. Filmfour came up in my next scan.

Hope this works for you.
