OpenBSD / New Install On Sl-c3200

Hi,

I just ran into the same trouble. After following this thread, it would
probably the best for me to get a new wireless, too. Or did happen
anything new in this respect during the last half year?

i didn't test this card again, but i believe still not working under openbsd

Hi Hus,

you mentioned in an earlier post the Ambicom WL1100C-CF. Just saw it on
ebay - how was your experience with this card since then?

Good day everyone

i just installed openbsd on sl-c3200 (the easy way i'm using cacko 1.23 rom)

from the console i unmounted /dev/hda3 then start (fdisk /dev/hda) and deleted the FAT partition then i added 1GB FAT partition type [c], then the rest of the disk type [a6] OpenBSD

after that i mkfs.vfat the /dev/hd3 and mount it to /mnt/hda3 and switch to there and grabed all the packages of the snapshot (base39.tgz ..etc) using the wget ( i did that to use disk installation, i installed the openbsd ipk on cacko and just followed the installation proccess

my problem now when i plug my wireless card it gives me this error

: unable to read station addressany idea guys what todo now? do i have to install the wireless driver (Hostap) or firmware? if so where to get it from? the GW-CF11X card has prism3 chipset, and yeah by the way since i'm new to openBSD where to tweak make file? i mean the compiler option to use xscale insted of arm optimization

Thanks a lot, I have now Cacko running on my Z. Btw, there was a little
issue when I tried to download the file. From my current location in France
I couldn't access your site (connect, but no response to http-request).
I have another account in Germany, from which I got a connection and
could (though somewhat slowly) download the file.

It was most likely due to my editing the site to include the download link. Everything should be fine now.

No, unfortunately not. If I try to connect [a href=\"http://mersenne.homeunix.net]http://mersenne.homeunix.net[/url]
from both accounts at about the same time, one account gets a connection,
the other doesn't. I have no idea what the reason might be, maybe some
bizarre routing or domain filtering issue on the way (dns seems ok).

Any chance that somebody could add the files for the C3200 to this directory?

I have Cacko-1.23 for the SL-C3200 and SL-C3100 available for download here: DOWNLOAD CACKO-1.23 (Look under the section Dual Booting Cacko and BSD)
