Hello boys,my name  is piero and I am an Italian user Free and OpenBSD. For excuse myself for my little English  ..

I have to to buy one Sharp Zaurus C3100 But the vendor in the notes tells me..

Code: [Select]
I've experimented with many different ROMs on this unit, so although it currently has a version of Cacko installed, I don't vouch for its sanity. I've also played around with the drive arrangement, setting up an ext3 partition and a large swap partition.

Basically, if you haven't already used a Zaurus, and/or you're not into Linux geekery, I don't recommend you buy this. I've had a lot of fun with this unit, and I want it to go to someone who knows what they're getting themselves into. It's definitely not a consumer-grade PDA. The buyer will almost certainly want to install their own ROM, and may need to muck around with the drive partitioning. Please don't bid if you have no idea how to do this or what it means!

Note that I have just tried to reflash the ROM, and failed. For some reason, it won't accept the SD card I've inserted with the new image files. I haven't tried to do this for a few months, so perhaps I'm just doing something wrong. But there's a possibility that something has broken, as unlikely as that seems. From what I've read, it's very hard to 'brick' the unit just from software. Unfortunately, I don't have time to investigate where the problem lies.

I would want to understand if the rom mother it is damaged or the rom OS Cacko ..

To me nn interests Cacko, I want OpenBSD 4.0,is damaged OS or ROM mother board ???

Sorry for my language and thanks to you all ....
